Baksana’s exciting theatrical stage show harkens back to the 1500 and early 1600s Renaissance era. Performances tell stories of adventure through music and dance from throughout the (then) Turkish Ottoman Empire. 

The Adventures of Baksana, debuting in 2024, are all-ages sets of theatrical music and dance storytelling. Audiences learn how our group was formed from a mysterious meeting in the Sultana’s Garden; Watch a silly old woman from the market challenge us to play an Enchanted Drum; and Travel with us across the Sahara, facing desert winds, scorching sun, and a great warrior of legend.

Our evolution into thematic storytelling throughout out shows includes our Theme Song.

Costumes are historically researched to reflect an Arabic style of the Ottoman-era time period.
